Breanna Pinkham Bebb
for County Commissioner

Northport mom, financial professional, and an experienced civic leader focused on delivering practical, values-driven results for our community.

Waldo County government is at a crossroads. To ensure a positive path forward, we need leaders who are accountable, who welcome public input and differing perspectives, and who care deeply about getting good work done well. For more than 15 years, I've put these values into action on Northport's Select Board and Planning Board and through organizations like the Waldo County Woodshed, Maine Community Foundation, and Our Town Belfast. I'm taking this approach to the Waldo County Commission, and hope to earn your vote this June and November.

Leading with our Shared Values

Responsible Budgeting

No one wants their property taxes to go up, yet we all depend on and value the services provided by municipal and county governments.

Shortly after I was sworn in as Commissioner, the budget committee approved a 15% increase for 2026 - a vast improvement over the 45% originally proposed by the Commissioners last August, but still a difficult pill for all us taxpayers to swallow.

The good news? The County has no long-term debt and we are tackling these challenges head-on. I will bring big-picture, planful thinking to the table as we craft future budget proposals, and advocate for more bang for our limited bucks.

Transparency & Access

The people of Waldo County deserve to know what County government is doing on their behalf.

I'm working to improve the clarity and timeliness of County communication, as well as to increase opportunities for the public to participate in decision-making. As of this year, we now have a Zoom option for public hearings and a website portal for FOAA requests, and are developing new advisory committees to help shape the work that we do.

As Commissioners, I believe we serve our communities best when those communities are informed and engaged.

Effective Leadership

I believe in leadership as service, and have always looked for ways to show care for my community.

Knowing I’m here to serve others gives me the courage to question how things are done and take on tough challenges. My style is both direct and kind. I enjoy working with people who think differently than I do because a mix of perspectives almost always leads to better results.

In order to get the right work done and to do it well, we've got to listen to those who live and work in Waldo County. Reach out to me and let me know what's important to you, so I can be an effective leader.

Service through the Years

Splitting wood with my son at the Waldo County Woodshed in Searsmont. As a board member and volunteer, I started up the Northport location and spent many winter Saturdays helping clients with wood pickup.

Pictured with my favorite Maine book in Senator Collins' DC office. This spring, I met with both Senators and congressional staff to advocate for legislation that would improve financial outcomes for caregivers and young savers.

Fine-tuning speaking remarks at an Our Town Belfast Annual Meeting. From 2012-2017 I served as Executive Director, and led efforts to grow the economy and celebrate community in Belfast's historic downtown.

Honoring 2025 Spirit of America foundation awardees at a recent meeting of the Waldo County Commissioners. Mister Rogers taught us to "look for the helpers," and when I do I see that Waldo County is full of caring folks who bring hope and progress to our communities.

Selectwoman Jeanine Tucker, Town Administrator James Kossuth, myself (Selectboard Chair), Selectwoman Molly Schauffler, and Finance Director Vicki Eugley. I'm proud of this team and all that it's accomplished for the Town of Northport. Planning for the future (new Town Office coming soon, our first municipal solar project, shoreline stablization, and more) while fostering inclusivity and transparency, and keeping property taxes in check.

Turning in signatures for my first Selectboard race in 2021. My son has been getting lessons in civic participation for as long as he can remember.

On February 10th, 2026, I was sworn in as interim County Commissioner to finish the remainder of the late Betty Johnson's term.
